Google+

Am I the only one that feels that the marketing for Google+ was oddly similar to Eric Cartman’s ‘You Can’t Visit My Theme Park’ technique?

You mean the invite-only thing? Gmail used to be like that. It worked, too, I felt pretty special for having an account. Then again, I was about 14. (Never really watched Southpark(?), but the name seems pretty self-explanatory)

Mmm Cartman buys a theme park because it’s his dream to have one all to himself. So he locks the gate and tells everyone that they can’t enter, hence causing everyone to want to enter. Demand skyrockets. Then, as he realises he needs some extra cash to pay for mechanics, etc, he lets a few people in. So it goes until the theme park is packed and his dreams of living alone in a theme park are ruined.

Wow, and I don’t even like South Park.
